HearthCabinet’s gel fuel provides you with a safe, eco-friendly, real-flame fireplace that can be installed almost anywhere. Made of isopropyl alcohol, water, and a thickener, our patented fuel burns very cleanly. The alcohol gel fuel cartridges sit safely in a cartridge holder behind a key-locked safety mesh screen. Lit with a butane lighter or long match, the cartridges can be extinguished at any time with supplied snuffer plates. The fire even crackles from air bubbles popping in the gel fuel!

Like a wood burning log, each cartridge lasts approximately 2 hours. You can keep the fire going after the gel fuel has burned out- just replace the gel fuel cartridge after it has cooled. To use the gel fuel cartridges, place the cartridges into the empty slot in the cartridge holder. Then remove the caps from the cartridges. To light the gel fuel, hover over the cartridges with a long lighter or long match and you have a flame! Don’t forget to keep the caps to pull the canisters out at the end.

While ventless fireplaces are not meant to heat your space, HearthCabinet Ventless Fireplaces do give off a comfortable atmosphere of ambient heat to be enjoyed near the fireplace. Each one of our cartridges produces 5,000 BTUs of heat and all our standard models can hold up to two at a time (except for our smallest model that holds one cartridge). When you need more gel fuel cartridges, you can order more online through our sister company! They are sold in cases of 8 cartridges.
